How It Works
No account, no email, no password. If you have Auro Wallet installed, you're already signed up.
One transaction buys your tier. Your payment sits in escrow with a 14-day refund right — enforced by the contract itself, not a support desk. You get a license file and select a passphrase: keep both, and keep the buying wallet accessible for at least the 14-day refund window.
Open the app and import your license — it verifies cryptographically, on your device. No login, no phone-home, and the app learns nothing about you: just that a valid license exists.
Why zkLicensing
No email, no password, no profile — the only buyer data we hold is the wallet address and the country (plus US ZIP) required for tax reporting. If you have Auro Wallet installed, you're already signed up. Purchases are pseudonymous on-chain; verification reveals only whether the license is valid.
One wallet signature per payment — nothing recurring, no card number to steal. Renew when you choose with a 7-day grace, and since payment isn't account-bound, anyone can gift or expense a renewal.
The license check runs inside the vendor's app — a local proof plus one read of public chain state anyone can serve. Even the ownership verifier can be self-hosted, so there's no proprietary validation endpoint to throttle or shut off. Licenses already issued keep working even if zkLicensing is down.
Your payment sits in on-chain escrow for 14 days, and only you can claim it back — the refund right is a constraint in the circuit, not a promise in a help-center article. No support ticket, no discretion, no exceptions clause.
The circuit has no admin key and no revoke method. Once issued, a license can only ever be cleared by its own buyer, through the refund window. The vendor can't cancel it. The platform can't cancel it. That's not policy — there's no code path for it.
The zkLicensing SDK — including the verify service — is source-available under BUSL 1.1. Anyone can read exactly how license validation works. No black box, no proprietary logic behind a hosted API.
